Susan Alig practiced law in the public sector for 10 years. As a state prosecutor, she tried many jury trials. As a senior attorney for a local municipality, Susan handled employment matters, civil rights lawsuits, union negotiations, policy development, and contracts. Susan represents employers and businesses in a wide range of matters in state and federal court.
Before joining the firm, Andrew Serrone defended business owners and insurers at another Kansas City, Missouri, firm. Andrew is a Kansas City, Missouri native. Outside the office, he enjoys traveling to U.S. National Parks, live music and local restaurants.
Monica Smith worked as a prosecutor for 13 years before joining the firm. She has handled jury trials and thousands of bench trials. Monica is passionate about improving Kansas City. UMKC recognized her contributions with the Community Resilience Leadership Archive, and she’s active in the community as a public speaking coach for the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Kansas City and as an alumna of the Centurions Leadership program. Monica is also active in several local bar associations.
